Borgo di Vione Restaurant
Surrounded by the greenery of Parco Agricolo Sud Milano, the restaurant is located in the municipality of Basiglio, within the historic hamlet of Cascina Vione.
The farmhouse dates back to the High Middle Ages (1086) and, from 1240, was entrusted to the Abbey of Chiaravalle. The Cistercian monks transformed it into a grangia: a self-sufficient agricultural estate devoted to farming and to offering hospitality to travellers.
With its ancient mill and its remarkably preserved rural character, Cascina Vione is now a protected architectural heritage site.
The restaurant’s cuisine balances tradition and contemporary research, with particular attention to seasonality and the quality of raw ingredients. Alongside dishes that highlight the produce and flavours of Lombardy, the menu embraces a broader interpretation of Italian cuisine.
Simple, carefully crafted dishes are reinterpreted with restraint and elegance, in an intimate and timeless atmosphere.
